Get Ready for Dry January: Start with a Fancy Seltzer Glow-Up

If you’re gearing up for Dry January, let’s skip the “I guess I’ll just drink plain water” mindset. You deserve a drink that feels fun, elevated, and like you actually want to sip it, not something that makes you miss your old cocktail.

Today’s assignment? Stock up on your favorite seltzer and make a simple syrup that makes your glass sparkle.

Let's start with a fav: Ginger syrup.

It’s bold, refreshing, and gives you that little “I’m doing something good for myself” kick.

Here’s how to make it:

  • Slice up a knob (we don't use the word knob enough if you ask me) of fresh ginger (about 2 inches).

  • Add 1 cup water and 1/3 cup honey or agave to a small pot.

  • Simmer for 10 minutes, then strain it into a jar.

  • Chill it and add a splash to your seltzer with a squeeze of lime.

That’s it, no shaker, no bar cart, no fake spirits. Just a glass full of bubbles, flavor, and intention.

Dry January isn’t about missing out. It’s about mixing things up, feeling better, and realizing that your drink can be just as fancy...without the hangover!
